Repeat Prescriptions

If you are prescribed long term medication you will be issued with a repeat prescription request slip. This is printed on a tear off sheet next to your prescription.

A few days before you need a further supply of your medication complete the request slip and take or post it to the surgery. We will organise your prescription within four working days of receipt. 

If you have run out of your medication and need a prescription immediately, please inform the receptionist.  

If you wish your prescription to be taken directly to one of the local pharmacies please let us know (allow four full working days).

If you stop taking any medication please help us to keep your records up to date by scoring it off the list.

Repeat prescription requests are not taken over the phone as this would result in the phone being constantly engaged.

Please allow four working days, excluding weekends and Bank Holidays, for your request to be processed. If you have any problems, please telephone the surgery.

If you require medication which has previously been prescribed, but not added to your repeat slip, you can request this either online or via the prescription box at the Surgery.

Please remember to add your name, date of birth and the reason for the medication request.

It is no longer possible for the GP to prescribe medication to patients who have a fear of flying.  Please click on the icon below for further information.

Fear of flying

There has been an increase in demand for treatment and appointments regarding hay fever. We understand how distressing the symptoms can be, but it does not require GP input. These requests increase the pressure on our system, limiting the time we have available to deal with other patient concerns.

GP's are unable to prescribe anything other than medication which is already available via the Pharmacy First service or over the counter.

For any hay fever treatments, please seek advice, in the first instance, from your local pharmacy.
